Our doctors and staff believe in taking the time to listen and understand the needs of all of our patients. We take a personal interest in helping our patients overcome their foot and ankle problems. Dr. Hatch’s number-one goal is offering patients improved mobility so they can better their health. After receiving his doctorate in podiatric medicine from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Hatch began specializing in foot and ankle reconstruction and pediatric clubfoot.
A 30-year resident of northern Colorado, Dr. Hatch actively participates in a number of sports. He is also an amateur photographer. Dr. Hatch has served as the past president of both the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the Humane Society of Weld County.
Dr. Vaardahl became a podiatrist because he enjoys meeting people of diverse backgrounds, and helping them relieve their foot and ankle pain and suffering. An avid runner and tennis player, he wants everyone to stay active and pursue their goals and passions. He received his doctorate in podiatric medicine from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, and now specializes in diabetic foot care and wound care.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Vaardahl has called northern Colorado home. He is involved in the Greeley Rotary Club, and is currently serving as the chair of the membership committee for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Vaardahl is also the director of the North Colorado Medical Center Podiatric and Surgery Residency. When not hard at work, Dr. Vaardahl can be found playing with his two young boys.
Dr. Atherton received her doctorate in podiatric medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then spent four years of residency training at Temple University Hospital, specializing in reconstructive surgery and foot and ankle trauma. In her free time she can be found enjoying the outdoors with her husband and 4 children.
Billing and Coding Specialist
For 26 years, Debbie has been a key member of our staff. Currently, she handles all of our billing and coding, staying current on changes in health care and insurance. Debbie loves being active and is an avid hiker, biker, gardener, and exerciser. When not enjoying the outdoors, she scrapbooks for her two grandsons.
Shelly joined Foot & Ankle Center of Northern Colorado because she knew that she would be working in an environment where people come first. Taking that observation to heart, Shelly ensures everyone who comes into contact with our office is treated with respect. Shelly enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 children. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and walking.

Nicki truly enjoys meeting new patients and caring for their foot and ankle needs. According to Nicki, the best part of working at Foot & Ankle Center of Northern Colorado is the camaraderie that the staff shares. Everyone has the same goal – providing the best possible care for each and every patient. Her hobbies include painting, hiking, and cooking.

Meghan appreciates the quality of care each patient receives as well as the atmosphere the employees bring to Foot & Ankle Center. In her spare time Meghan enjoys spending time with her 3 children. She also likes to participate in basketball, running, golfing, and camping.

While not at work Sherry enjoys camping, flower gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family. Sherry is a Certified Medical Assistant in our Longmont location. Sherry enjoys working with the great patients and staff in Longmont.
Veronica enjoys working with the Foot & Ankle family as she feels all staff are passionate about helping people. Veronica is fluent in both the English and Spanish language. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and son as well as cooking, scrap booking, interior design, and listening to music.

Passionate about spending time with her family and photography Anyisia finds herself busy while she is away from the office. Helpful and friendly Anyisia assists our patients in registration, scheduling appointments, and answers any other questions they may have.

While not working Megan enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Megan graduated from the University of Colorado double majoring in Integrative Physiology & Psychology. As a Certified Nursing Assistant she enjoys patient interaction and being able to play a role in improving the lives of people.

Exploring the beautiful Colorado Rockies has been an exciting pastime for Val since moving to Colorado from Kansas. Val feels the Foot & Ankle Center is a good fit for her as she cares about people and feels that the Doctors and Staff have the same philosophy. Val enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as photography and community service.

Sara enjoys working with the patients, doctors, and staff answering billing questions. Sara holds a degree in Economics from the University of Northern Colorado. A busy wife and mother Sara finds much joy spending time with her family.

With a sweet smile and positive attitude Rebeca greets our patients in the Greeley Office. She likes meeting new patients and working to make their experience with our practice positive. Rebeca enjoys spending time with family, exercising, and reading.
